I'm so excited. My very first post, on my very own craft blog, with my very own DIY projects. Can my downtime get any better than this? I don't think so! I have a collection of projects that I've done, but this one is one of my favorites. Enjoy!
I started out with two very ugly cabinet doors that were on a very cheap piece of furniture that was left in our home by the previous owners. We were loading the piece of furniture into the truck to take it to Goodwill, when one of these puppies popped right off of the hinges. My husband just removed both of them and left them to rot. That's when I swooped right in for the rescue! Here's what I did with the little boogers..
Took the hardware off..
I painted them with a coat of primer with this amazing primer. It sticks to everything and doesn't take very long to dry.
And they looked like this...
Spray painted the hardware black with my new obsession..Rust-Oleum.
While the hardware was drying outside, I had a little helper DYING to get her hands dirty. Perfect timing...this girl loves to paint, and it was time to paint the cabinets white.

Beautiful!!! Wish I had seen this sooner. My neighbor just threw away several cabinet doors..:-( I watched thinking I am sure I could come up with something and then I said well probably nothing good... Was I ever wrong!
